Clarke Central has had seven players who have gone on to play in the NFL.

King played on the first Clarke Central teams and went on to play at the University of Georgia as a Full Back. He was drafted in the 6th round in 1975 by the Detroit Lions and played with them until 1984 as a Full Back and Running Back.

Bush played on the Clarke Central 1979 Championship team and went on to play at NC State. Bush was drafted by the Houston in the fifth round of the 1985 draft. As a rookie in 1985 he started 11 of 16 games recording three sacks. During his second season in 1986 he started the first three games of the season when an examination following an injury, revealed that he had a back condition which made it too risky for him to continue playing.

In 1987 Bush was hired by the Oilers to be their college scout and later linebackers coach until 1994. Since then he has coached with the Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, and Tennessee Titans. He is currently coaching with the Miami Dolphins.

After attending Clarke Central, Willie Green played at the University of Mississippi. In 1990 he was drafted by the Detroit Lions. He played for them until 1993 and then played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos before retiring in 1998.  He was a member of the Broncos two Super Champion teams.

Kasay attended Clarke Central where he was a soccer stand out and football kicker/punter. He was an all-state selection with 37 career field goals, including a 54-yarder. He played four years at the University of Georgia and graduated in 1991, and was drafted in the 4th round in 1991 by the Seattle Seahawks. During his tenure, he led the Seahawks in scoring all four years, and left the team with the highest field goal percentage in team history. The Panthers signed him as a free agent prior to the team's debut in 1995. He played for the Panthers in 15 seasons.

After graduating from Clarke Central, Smith played two years in the NJCAA at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, scouts took notice of Smith's natural athletic ability, which earned him a full scholarship to the Iniversity of Tennessee. While at Tennessee, Smith played in both the Sugar and Fiesta Bowls and earned MVP honors at the Senior Bowl.

Smith was selected in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. For eight seasons in Atlanta  from 1992 to 1999, Smith established himself as an All-Pro defensive end and led the Falcons to Super Bowl XXXIII. In 2000, Smith left Atlanta to join the Panthers. He ended his career there after one season due injuries.

Corey attended Appalachian State after graduating from Clarke Central. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 2001. He also played for the New Orleans Saints in 2003.

At Clarke Central Robinson was a three-sport standout in football, basketball and track. As a senior, on defense, he had four interceptions and eight passes defended. On offense, he rushed for six touchdowns, and ran back a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns. Next he played for the University of South Carolina.

Robinson was drafted by the Houston Texans 10th overall in the 2004 NFL draft. He immediately became a starter, starting all 16 games at right cornerback for the Texans his rookie season, recording 87 tackles and six interceptions. During the 2008 season, Robinson became the all-time Texans' interception leader.  In 2010, Robinson  became a free agent and joined the Atlanta Falcons.  Robinson finished his career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013.
